Clifford Alton Frost, 94, of Wortham, passed away March 29, 2018, at Providence Hospice Place, in Waco. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 2, at First United Methodist Church-Wortham, with the Rev. Chris Rowe officiating. Interment followed the service at Wortham Cemetery. Visitation with the family present was Sunday at Corley-Porter Chapel-Wortham.
Alton was born Oct. 15, 1923, in Navarro County, to Charlie and Melvia Bennett Frost. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Danny Frost. Alton is survived by his wife, Marie Frost, of Wortham; son John Frost and wife Debbie, of Houston; granddaughter Danielle Frost, of Houston; grandsons Jared Frost, of Houston, and Justin Frost and wife Lori, of Houston; great-grandson Casey Frost, and great-granddaughters Parker Frost and Paige Frost.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Frost, Jared Frost, Larry Jones, Paul Dunn, Ricky Calame and Dicky Thornton.

Funeral services for Noreeta Lane, 80, were held on Thursday, March 29, at Bowers Funeral Home, in Teague. Bro. Jeff Wright officiated. Interment followed the services at Dew Cemetery.
Mrs. Lane passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, at her residence near Dew.
She was born on June 26, 1937, to Roland and Mildred Briggs, and grew up in Mexia. Noreeta married Harvey Lane on Aug. 1, 1953, and they shared more than 64 years of marriage together. She was a dedicated homemaker for her husband, sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of her life. Mrs. Lane enjoyed playing games, especially Bingo. She was a Baptist by faith.
She is survived by Harvey Lane Sr., of Dew; four sons, Harvey C. Lane Jr. and wife Latresa, of Mexia, William “Bill” Lane and wife Shirley, of Prairie Hill, Freddie Lane and wife Melinda, of Dew, and Mike Lane and wife Tracye, of Cross Roads; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Gary Webb and wife Linda, of Redlands, Calif., and James Webb and wife Linda, of Mexia; one sister, Donna Sue Heager and husband Richard, of Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews including a special niece, Tami Reed McKamie and husband Bryant; and other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by two sisters, Pam Dean and Wanda Gayle Reed.

Carl Burnis Sadler III
Carl Burnis Sadler, III, known to everyone as “Bill,” was born Aug. 21, 1948, at Hillcrest Hospital, in Waco. He was not only welcomed by his parents, Carl Burnis Sadler Jr. and Bettye Maude Priddy Sadler, but also by three living grandparents: Sudie Lee Black Priddy, Lena Mae Roberts Sadler, and Carl Burnis Sadler Sr., who would help shape and mold his life in a loving, positive way.
Funeral services for Bill were held Sunday, April 8, at First Baptist Church in Groesbeck, with a very large number of people paying their respects, both at the Friday night visitation and Sunday at the services. The funeral service was conducted by Brother Richard Williams (Church of Christ of Groesbeck), the Rev. Tracy Sims (Central Baptist Church of Thornton), Brother Travis Smith (Church of Christ), and the Rev. Ronnie Driskell at the graveside (Central Baptist Church of Thornton.) Wonderful gospel music, something Bill dearly loved, was offered by the Reed Quartet and by singers from the Church of Christ and other community vocalists, singing songs previously selected by Bill. Burial followed at Faulkenberry Cemetery.
Pallbearers were H. G. Wilson, Bobby Matthews, David Clancy, Jack Foshee, Bubba Williamson, Rueben Kelley, Jack Weaver Barnett, and Kenneth Copeland. Honorary pallbearers were James Black, Bobby Reed, Benjie Reed, Will Winn, Todd Neyland, Pete Chasteen, Heath Chasteen and Jack Franklin.
Bill was reared in a Christian home and became a member of First Methodist Church in Groesbeck at an early age by affirmation of faith. He served as one of the church organists for many years, beginning at the age of 13. Later, after marrying Linda Stewart, and after his son Bill David was born, Bill was baptized by his close friend and neighbor, Brother Malcolm Smith, on Monday afternoon Sept. 9, 1974, and became a member of Groesbeck Church of Christ. Bill continued to use his musical talent to play piano or organ at funerals and weddings and also community activities such as the “Red Stocking Follies”.
Bill attended all 12 grades in Groesbeck public schools, starting first grade in 1954 and graduating valedictorian of the class of 1966. He received his higher education of Sam Houston State University. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in math and science in May 1969, with a permanent Texas Teaching certificate. His first position in the fall of 1969 was in Dawson ISD, where he served as high school mathematics teacher and elementary principal. Bill became elementary principal in Groesbeck ISD in November 1971 and served in that capacity until May 1979, when he resigned to help his father in ranching interest and developing properties on Lake Limestone. He received his Masters Degree in Education in May 1972 and all levels administrator’s certificate from TEA in May 1973.
Bill was president of the First National Bank of Groesbeck from Jan. 1, 1983, until retirement on April 30, 2008. He continued to serve on the board of directors until the bank was purchased by Citizens State Bank of Buffalo on Oct. 1, 2016. Throughout his life, Bill remained active in various civic and community organizations.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother and father, Bettye Maude and Carl Sadler Jr.; and mother-in-law, Melisia Stewart.
Bill and Linda were blessed with two children: a son, Bill David Sadler, in 1972 and a daughter, Sandie LeAnne Sadler in 1977. Bill and Linda also have four precious grandchildren. Bill David and wife Melody are the parents of Blane David Sadler and Ava Claire Sadler; and daughter Sandie is the mother of Zane Alan Baize and Emma Kate Baize. Many other extended family members also survive him, and he will be missed by all his family, friends and the community.

Margaret Elizabeth Keller
Margaret Elizabeth “Betsy” Keller, 85, died Monday, April 9, 2018, at her residence in Fairfield. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at First United Methodist Church of Fairfield, with Dr. Richard Heyduck and the Rev. J. Mack Strange officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Keller was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Corsicana to parents Ernest A. and Margaret Stubbs Strange. She lived in Wortham and attended Wortham schools.
She graduated from TCU in 1953 with a degree in Education. She was an avid Wortham Bulldog and TCU Horned Frog fan. She taught second grade at Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Corsicana. She married John H. Keller, M.D. on July 16, 1955. Mrs. Keller was a lifetime Methodist and a member of First United Methodist Church of Fairfield, where she was once active in many groups and sang in the choir for a number of years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 24, 2012, and a brother, E.A. “Mack” Strange, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susan Myers and husband Charles; Carolyn Newberry and husband Scott; three grandsons, Jordan Keller Myers and wife Kimberly; James Scott Newberry III and wife Grace; James Andrew Myers and wife Natalie, and their son, Jaxon; a granddaughter, Audra Myers Knowles; niece Mary Ann Strange and nephew James Mack Strange; and special family and caregivers, Jonny Renee Childs, Alicia Thurman and Leslie Brackens.

Bruce Anthony Davis, son of Elmer and Willie Davis, was born on Jan. 22, 1961. He attended Dogan High School in Fairfield, and Navarro Junior College in Corsicana. He was raised in Church of God No. I under the leadership of Pastor L.C. Gant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Willie Davis; wife Mary Davis; sister Cordie Love; brothers Alvis Parks, Jerry Davis and Darrell Davis.

Murphy L. Pate
Murphy L. Pate, 81. of San Antonio, passed away at his home on April 10, 2018, with Vicki, his wife of 46 years, and other loved ones nearby. Murphy was born in Flo, Texas on Aug. 7, 1936, to Jim Pate and Gracie Pate. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Anniece Pate Caldwell and Sybil Bates, and brothers James Pate, Bill Pate and Gene Pate.
Murphy’s childhood years were spent in Mexia, where he graduated from Mexia High School in 1956. He was on the football, basketball and track teams and was proud to be a Mexia Blackcat. His dearest friends were from his school days, and he remained close to them over the years. He attended many of the Mexia High School reunions, including his 60th reunion in 2016. He enjoyed getting together with his friends and discussing the ‘good old days.’ His fondest memories were those spent as a Boy Scout and a Mexia Blackcat.
Murphy and Vicki moved in 1979 to Corpus Christi, where they lived for 35 years. Murphy worked as a Project Superintendent in various refineries until his retirement from Repcon in 2007.
After traveling for a few years after retirement, Murphy and Vicki moved to San Antonio to be near their precious grandchildren, and so Samantha and Paulina could be closer to their PawPaw and Grandma.
Murphy is survived by his wife, Vicki; son Tim Pate (Dana), of Teague, and daughter Kristi Beach (Kevin), of San Antonio; grandchildren Marc Pate (Megan), of Hewitt, Rachel Tennen (Sterling), of Ashland,Ore; Samantha and Paulina Beach, of San Antonio; great-grandsons Maverick and Murphy Pate, of Hewitt, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, April 16, at 11 a.m.Burial will follow the memorial service.

Mrs. Doris Myrl Nash Taylor was born July 14, 1920, in Lovelady, and passed away April 2, 2018, in Webster. Mrs. Taylor was formerly of Coolidge and retired from AT&T after thirty-five years of service. She was a past president for the Garden Club in Coolidge; president of the council for the residents of Regency Village in Webster; treasurer for the Food Bank at Glad Tidings Church and Secretary for the Senior Citizens Center in Limestone County.
Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband Aubie Nash; husband Byron Taylor; daughter Patsy Carol Sims; stepdaughters Earnestine Smith and Joy Bartay; stepson, Charles Taylor; sons-in-law Ray Robertson and Mickey Powell; parents Jones and Augusta Smith; and sister Evelyn Smith.

Freddie Gean Dabney
Freddie Gean Dabney passed away April 13, 2018, in Mexia at the age of 80. A time to visit and celebrate his life with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 18,, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Freddie was born Sept. 2, 1937, in Mexia. Mexia had been his home for his entire life. He worked for Dick Scott Ford and Beene Motors prior to opening his own auto body repair shop. Freddie was known for doing an excellent job in repairing automobiles; he was very meticulous and strived to do a good job.
Freddie married his loving wife, Bobby Anglen, on Dec. 12, 1959, in Mexia; they were blessed with two sons, Steven and Shad. He cherished his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite time with the grandchildren was spent “hanging out” on the back porch. When he had the opportunity, he also enjoyed fishing and remodeling old cars.
Freddie was easy-going, friendly and always smiling. He will be remembered as being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Hyde.

John James ‘J.J.’ Jarrell
John James “J.J.” Jarrell passed away April 12, 2018, at his home in Wortham, at the age of 30. Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, at First Baptist Church in Wortham, with the Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Interment followed in Wortham Cemetery. J.J. was born March 29, 1988, in Dallas, to Randy L. and Bettina Stubbs Jarrell. He grew up in Wortham and graduated from Wortham High School. He had been Plant Operator for Enbridge, Inc. for 10 years.
J.J. loved and cherished his family. Although he had no children of his own, he loved his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. They thought their Uncle JJ was the greatest and, given the choice, they would choose staying with him over anyone else. He was outgoing, enjoyed being around people and made friends wherever he went.
J.J. enjoyed working; he wasn’t one to be idle. He loved his cows and ranching. His grandfather called him “his ranch hand,” a title he was proud of. They shared the same interest and a very special bond. He was a hunter and spent many hours training hunting dogs as well as cow dogs. Of all his dogs, his very favorite was Bess. In years past, J.J. enjoyed and excelled in playing baseball. He was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Wortham.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarabeth Matthews; maternal grandmother, Mattie Stubbs; paternal grandmother Sharon Crow; and paternal grandfather M.L. Jarrell Jr.

Jesse Ray Owens, 73, of Mexia, passed away on April 19, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Jones Funeral Services Chapel. Samuel Thomas ‘Tom’ Bozeman Jr.
Samuel Thomas “Tom” Bozeman Jr. of Coolidge passed away April 13, 2018, in Mexia at the age of 81. A celebration of life service was held Sunday, April 22, at the VFW Post 4694 in Mexia.
Tom was born Nov. 2, 1936, in Crane, to Samuel Thomas Bozeman Sr. and Christine Jones Bozeman. He was a truck driver most of his life. He drove all over the U.S. and Canada. Tom married his loving wife, Peggy Flowers, on Dec. 31, 1986, in Coolidge. He loved his family and spending time with them. He especially loved to grill hamburgers for their family gatherings.
Tom enjoyed visiting with everyone; he never met a stranger, and made friends wherever he went. One of his favorite pastimes was going to the VFW and sitting at what they called, “The Table of Knowledge” and talking about the events of the day. He even had the opportunity to be in a movie called “Dawn.” It was filmed by Jay Reel, and Tom played the sheriff.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother Dick Bozeman; and granddaughter Brandi Brashier.
Tom is survived by his wife of 31 years, Peggy Bozeman, of Coolidge; children Marty Dockins, of Daylon, Christine Kilgore, of Coolidge, Elaine Roberts, of Boerne, and Richard Bozeman, of Lake Mexia; stepchildren Diana Smith, of Wortham, Sandra Park, of Temple, Patricia Wilcox, of Caney City, and Kenneth Kilgore, of Coolidge; four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and sister Harriett Harold, of Grand Prairie.

Mildred Louise Cotton Monk
Mildred Louise Cotton Monk, 89, of Tehuacana,, entered her heavenly home on April 18, 2018, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. She was surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services were held Friday, April 20, at First Baptist Church, Mexia, with the Rev. Dale McDaniel and the Rev. Chris Rowe officiating.
A private graveside service followed at the Mexia Cemetery. Grandsons Brandon Ford, Bradley Ford, Bryan Cotton, Esteban Ybarra, Mark Rogers, Jesse Fuentes and stepsons Scott and Colby Santana served as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family was Thursday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Mildred was a very outgoing person. She was loving and caring and had a beautiful smile. She was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord, her family and friends. She also loved her beloved dog, Goldie.
Mildred was born in Frosa, on Oct. 8,1928, to Ross Miller Russell and Georgie Mae Moses.
She is survived by her husband, Claude L. Monk; son Ronald Cotton, of Mexia; son and wife, Stanley and Belinda Cotton, of Mexia; daughter and husband, Linda and James (Billy) Ford, of Silver City; daughter-in-law, Betty Cotton, of Kirven; Joy Cotton, of Franklin, Tenn.; sisters Dorothy Jean Espinola, of Killeen, and Barbara Jean McKnealy, of Houston; brother and wife, Leonard and Daisy Moses, of Waco; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred was a member of many clubs, such as the Mexia Lions Club, in which she was a past president also. She was a member of the Mexia State School Volunteer Council. She was also a past president and active member. She was a member of Providence Hospice, Friends of the Library, Mexia Garden Club, Mexia Women’s Friday Club, and a member of Tehuacana Baptist Church since 1954.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Georgie Mae Moses; son Rodger Cotton; husband of 55 years Woodrow Cotton; great-grandson Stormy Smith; and father, Ross Miller Russell.

Carroll Irvin McMahon
Carroll McMahon, 82, of Mexia, passed away April 16, 2018, in Waco. Graveside services were held on Thursday, April 19, at Lost Prairie Cemetery near Lake Limestone, with Michael Tollison, grandson, officiating.
Carroll was born Nov. 26, 1935, in Limestone County, to Marvin Irvin and Otis Onita McMinn McMahon. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife H. JoAnn Dockery McMahon; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his children, Stanley McMahon, Martha Butler, Jerri Lynn Walts and husband Ricky Lee, Rusty McMahon and wife Amy, and Ricky McMahon; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Billy Lee Rudasill
Funeral services for Billy Lee Rudasill, 80, of Belton, formerly of Mexia, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Northside Church of Christ. Burial will be at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Mexia.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening, April 27, from 5 to. 7 p.m. at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
Mr. Rudasill died Tuesday, April 24, 2018, in a Temple hospital.
Mr. Rudasill was born March 24, 1938, in Teague, the son of Wylie Holton Rudasill and Ellen (Williams) Rudasill. He grew up in Mexia and married Linda Parten, also of Mexia, on November 10, 1956. They were married for 49 years. Mr. Rudasill worked hard for most of his life as a master carpenter, working in construction and building homes, office buildings, schools, and libraries. After retiring from his work at VA Hospitals in Temple and Waco, Mr. Rudasill continued to use his construction skills and concern for others in service as a builder for the Habitat for Humanity in Mexia. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Rudasill was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his son John, his infant son Todd, one grand-daughter, his parents, and his sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Leah Rudasill, of Morgan’s Point Resort, and Niki Barney and her husband Jay, of Troy, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Ezra Lean ‘Sweet’ Echols
Ezra Lean Echols “Sweet” was born April 17, 1934, in Limestone County to the late Roosevelt Sr. And Edna Freeman Reed. She graduated from Woodland High School in 1952. She met and married Harbard Echols on Sept. 23, 1953, a union lasting 63 years and which produced nine children: Clifton Darnell (Myrtle), Harbard Lee (Louella) and Anthony, all of Dallas, Elvis Eugene, of Coolidge, Efrem Ray (Debra), of Mexia, Gary (Ramona) of Benbrook, Darlene Whitley (Jessie), of San Diego, Calif., Brend Brown (Felton), of Scott, La., and Katie Richards, of Belton.
Sweet retired from the Mexia State School after 24 years of employment. She left us on April 25, 2018, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harbard, brother Roosevelt Jr. and sister Rosa Mae Hutchinson.
Left to cherish her memories are sisters Lillie Ruth Hooks, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Irene Williams (Pete) of Coolidge; aunt Zora Lusk, of Midland; 13 grandchildren: Derrick, Quincy, Michael, Miguel, Keona, Kevin, Heather, Tasha, Wynton, Gary Jr., Raven, Avery and Emily; and great-granchildren Kaelyn, Aldric, Lincoln, Bryce, Shemar, Sa-Rita and S-Mydre; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on May 5 at 11 a.m. at Union Memorial United Methodist Church of Coolidge. Arrangements and services entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home, of Mexia.
Joyce Marie Welch
Joyce Marie Welch, longtime beautician in Mexia, entered her heavenly home from Waco, on April 27, 2018, at the age of 70.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 30, at Landmark Baptist Church, in Mexia.
Interment followed in the Fort Parker Memorial Park in Groesbeck.
Honorary pallbearers were David Welch, Noah, Michael White, Jude White, Justin Gore, Brandon Wedgman and Jackson Ingram.
Visitation with the family was held Sunday, April 29, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Patricia Ethelyn Busby Evans
Patricia Evans was born Oct. 14, 1959, to the parentage of David and Leola Busby, in Wortham. She went to be with The Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at her residence in Wortham, surrounded by loving family and devoted friends. Viewing was held Friday, May 4, at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home in Teague, with the family present 6-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 5, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 203 N. Canton Street in Mexia. The Rev. W. R. Daniels Sr., Pastor of Greater Mount Hope Baptist Church of Mt. Calm, will officiate, and Bishop Jamal Henry, Pastor of Full Faith Primitive Baptist Church of Wortham, will be the eulogist. Interment will be in the Wortham Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans grew up in Wortham, received her Christian education in the Beulah Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. L.A. Davis. Her academic education was completed as a graduate of Wortham High School. Patricia was awarded the Associate Degree from McLennan Community College in Waco.
For 30 years Mrs. Evans was employed at The Mexia State Supported Living Center (Mexia State School) in Mexia, and she retired after faithful service. She continued to work after retirement for the Wortham Independent School District, in Wortham.
Patricia was an active member of the Full Faith Primitive Baptist Church. There she served as Mother Of The Church, Sunday School, and appointed herself the choir director.
She loved taking care of her kids and grandkids. Cooking was very special to her. She was best known for her macaroni and cheese dish and her special Oreo cake. Mrs. Evans loved throwing her annual Christmas party and always enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids open presents and marveled at the excitement in their eyes for the gifts.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, David and Leola Busby; and a daughter, Karla Evans. It is amazing, that out of 14 siblings, only a sister, Joyce Watkins, and a brother, the Rev. Vernon Busby Sr., had preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Cedric Busby and wife Emtiesha, Jennifer Evans, and Quincy Charles Evans Jr. and wife Twamocka; 12 grandchildren, Ty Ramni, JaBryan, Jason, Samaria, Brooklyn, Iyana, Jordin, Kendall, Tieslyn, Karlie, Quincey III and Kinley; brothers Arthur Busby and wife Brenda, Kenneth Busby and wife Ivory, and Michael Busby; sisters Melinda “Jean” Morgan, Zoleta Kirven and husband Cliff, Marie Bledsoe and husband Lynn, Shirley Freeman, JoAnn Young, Mary Nell Piggee and husband Kenneth, Elaine Rhodes and husband Gene, and Shandra Carter and husband Altus Jr; aunts Ida Mae Eggins, Willie Mae Giddings and Glodene Hunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Roy Milton ‘Sonny’ Jones
Roy Milton “Sonny” Jones passed away May 3, 2018, in Mexia at the age of 89. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the First Baptist Church with Mr. Zach Birkner officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Jason Jones, Jon Jones, Josh Jones, Jacob Jones, Mark Burleson, Barry Burleson, Tim Glasco and Mike Gamble will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Sonny was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Groesbeck to Roy and Oras O’Neal Jones. He grew up in Groesbeck and graduated from Groesbeck High School. Sonny married the love of his life, Florence Gamble, on July 15, 1950, in Mexia; they were blessed with two children, Kathy and Kenny. He worked as a pipeline welder for Service Pipeline for 15 years, prior to retiring after completing 15 years as an insurance salesman for Reliable Life Insurance.
Sonny was always upbeat, had a great sense of humor, loved everyone and treated people the way he wanted to be treated. His love for the Lord, family, friends and everyone else was exemplified by the way he lived his life. He enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by his family, especially, his grandchildren and great grandchildren that he cherished so much.
Sonny loved to play golf, was an extremely talented welder, enjoyed using his skills to create things and often repairing things for others. While being a member of the Mexia Country Club, he served as president. He was an active member of the Shiloh Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Jones; brother, Norman Jones; and sisters, Louise Ragsdale and Teresa Glasco.
Sonny is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Florence Jones of Mexia; son, Kenny Jones and wife, Marsha of Tyler; four grandsons, Jason Jones of Tyler, Jon Jones and wife, Paige of Tyler, Josh Jones and wife, Lauren of Atlanta, GA and Jacob Jones and wife, Monica of Mansfield; great grandchildren, Belle, Mason, Maggye, Andrew and Evan Jones; sister, Joanne Burleson of Waxahachie; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Wanda Sue Adams
Wanda Sue Adams, formerly of Mexia, passed away May 7, 2018 in Waco, Texas at the age of 87. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Interment will be in the Mexia Cemetery.
Sue is survived by three loving daughters, Donna Leach, Patty Cooper and Vicki West; and other family members.
