Mrs. Dee Ann (Reed) Mack was born on Feb. 16, 1953, to Taylor and Irene Reed, in Sandy. She passed away on Jan. 12, 2018, at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco.
Dee Ann graduated from Mexia High School in 1971. On Nov. 13, 1971, she married her high school sweetheart, Roy Mack, and to this union two beautiful daughters Trina and LaTonya were born.
She was employed at the Mexia State School for 28 years and retired in 2004 to enjoy life and most of all her family. Dee Ann was a devoted member at Union Memorial United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and played many other roles. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, crafting, singing and going on family vacations. She never met a stranger, was open-minded and loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Taylor and Irene Reed, sister Wanda Henderson, brother Anthony Reed and stepmother Daisy Bradley Reed.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Roy Mack, of Mexia; daughters Trina Dee Brown and LaTonya Leann (Timothy) Hubbard, both of Mexia; grandsons Trenton Darnell Mack (Markayla Wilkerson), of Grand Prairie, and Tylen Ramon Hubbard, of Mexia; granddaughters Jasmine Lashelle Brown and Tyonna Le'Ann Hubbard, both of Mexia; greatgranddaughter Trinitee Maria NyCole Mack, of Waco; siblings Archie T. (Ruby) Reed, of Waco, Margaret Burke, of Sandy, Donald Ray (Sharon) Reed, of Mexia, Merkie (Malcolm) Brooks, of Wortham, Pamela Lockhart, of Wortham, Sheneita (L.D.) Johnson, of Wortham, Alvin Ike Bradley, of Coolidge, Colin (Kamisha) Bradley, of Mexia, and Alisha (Cedric) Franklin, of Coolidge; adopted sister Glenna Cummings Richards, of Carrollton; special cousin Walter Briscoe; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service and arrangements entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home, of Mexia. The service will be held Jan. 20, at 1 p.m., at Union Memorial United Methodist Church, in Sandy.
