The story of Princess Jayla Tamara Riggs started on August 10, 2002 when she embraced the world with her bright bubbly smile and personality. She was born unto the parentage of James “Roni” Riggs, Sr. and Patricia Faught. Jayla loved her family and friends and could always be seen having a good time. Jayla was an 8th grade student at Hillsboro Junior High School where she was loved by many. She loved music, singing, Snap Chat and volleyball.
She had dreams of one day becoming a movie star and made a promise to her mom that one day she would be on the big screen. Jayla gained the brightest star she could; her heavenly star on December 30, 2017.
Jayla is preceded in death by her grandparents, Clora Dean Riggs, J.C. Riggs and James Faught; brothers, Jason Riggs and Matthew Jimenez.
Jayla leaves to cherish her love: mother, Patricia Faught; father, James Riggs, Sr; sisters, Hayle Jimenez, Allysin Jimenez, Shonna Marks and Damya Riggs; brothers, Brendon Riggs, Justin Riggs and James Riggs, Jr.
Jayla has a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, family and friends that she loved dearly with all of her heart. She will forever be a shining star for all to see.
Funeral service and arrangements entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home of Mexia. Celebration service was held on Wednesday, January 10 at 2pm at First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro.
