Lee Ella Thompson Moffett

Lee Ella Thompson Moffett went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 10, 2017.
She was born a twin on Oct. 18, 1916 in Kirvin to the parentage of Ella Williams Thompson and Mango Thompson. Both parents preceded her in death, along with her twin brother, Lee Thompson, Robert Thompson, and Willie Lee Thompson, three sisters, Willie Perl, Mary and Ruthie.
Lee Ella attended and completed high school in Kirvin.
She accepted Christ at a early age. Lee Ella attended Webb Chapel and later joined Henderson Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. She was a faithful and supportive member until her health failed her. She served the Lord while confined at home. She also served as an usher, sang in the choir, was the President of the Mother’s Board of the Old Land Mark Primitive Baptist Association, Mother of Henderson Chapel, and a member of the Eastern Star Association.
Lee Ella met and married Jimmy Hester. With that union they had two children, Leon and Leola Hester, both have preceded her in death. Lee Ella later married S.P. Moffett and with this union they had 11 children, Dorothy Cole preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: James Moffett of Houston; Simon Moffett of Dallas; Myrtle Lewis Jefferson of Houston; Alice (Willie) Marable (Willie James) of Fort Worth; Patsy Busby of Dallas; Christine (Morris) Dixon of Houston; Shirley (James) Williams of Dallas; Price Moffett (Debra) of DeSoto; Robert (Ethel) Moffett of Groesbeck; Betty (Wayne) Lucus of Nabcodoces, La.; and one step-son, James Weldon Moffett, who preceded her in death. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 21 at Northcrest Church of Christ.
